Nieto, Brewer to wed May 15
Thomas and Margaret Nieto of Needville, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter, LCPL Natalie Nieto, to LCPL Danny J. Brewer Jr., son of Joyce and Frank Slaten of Danville and Danny J. Brewer Sr. of Kentucky.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of East Bernard Texas High School.
She currently serves in the U.S. Marines and is stationed in Beauford, S.C.
The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Danville High School. He currently serves in the U.S. Marines and is stationed in Hawaii. He is the grandson of Kathleen Dotson of Decatur.
The wedding will be held May 15 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hartselle.
Holt, Homesley to wed May 22
Cendi Fuller of Decatur and Kent and Nancy Holt of Florence announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandy Renae Holt, to Nathan Eric Homesley, son of Redonda and Dennis Homesley of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Ardmore High School and a 2002 graduate of The University of Alabama in Huntsville with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. She is currently pursuing a master's degree at Auburn University. She is the granddaughter of W.C. and Eloise Holt of Florence, Helen Fuller of Decatur and the late Winfred Fuller.
The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Bethel High School and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Auburn University. He is the grandson of Sara Homesley of Thomasville, Ga., the late Horace Homesley, Ida Johnson of Hartselle and the late John R. Johnson.
The wedding will be held May 22 at First Baptist Church in Decatur.
Vices celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Raney (Smith) and Charles Wilson Vice of Huntsville, formerly of Hartselle, were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary by their daughters and sons-in-law Wilsolene and Tim Cadman of Decatur, Sheree and Paul Brundage of Jackson, Tenn., Carol and William Adkins of Groveport, Ohio, and Jennifer and George Cullars of Huntsville. The celebration began at Lebanon Baptist Church, where the Vices were married March 28, 1954, with family and friends attending church services with them.
A bouquet, which included red, yellow and confetti roses, was placed in the church to honor them. Each rose represented the Vices, their daughters, and grandsons Ryan Barnett, Joseph Adkins, Austin Cullars and the late Jacob Adkins.
A luncheon with family and close friends followed at Main Street Bistro in Hartselle.
