Funeral for Elizabeth Joetta Drake, 70, of Hartselle was Sunday, March 21, at 3:30 p.m. with Father Joseph Culotta officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Ms. Drake died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at her residence. She was born July 24, 1933, to Thomas Elmer Drake and Dorothy Elmo Drake. She was a 1951 graduate of Morgan County High School. She attended St. Bernard College in Cullman, St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Birmingham and graduated from Baroness Erlarger School of Nursing in Chattanooga, Tenn. with the class of 1962. She was a RN Nurse. Ms. Drake had worked at various places in the state including Baugh-Wiley Hospital in Decatur as a staff nurse supervisor, Decatur General Hospital, Pineview Hospital in Hartselle, Huntsville Hospital as emergency room nurse, Baptist Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Montgomery, The Crisis Center of Birmingham and Blount Construction in Montgomery as a company nurse.
She is survived by one sister, Martha Ann Stricklin of Orange Beach; two nieces, Elizabeth Kimberly McConnell and Kelly Ann Stricklin; and great nephew, Zachary McConnell.
