Mayo, Bolan exchange vows
Sherry Crowell Mayo and Arnold Sanders Bolan II, both of Hartselle, were married Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at 2 p.m. in a double ring ceremony at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Nappier officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late George W. Crowell and Anna Lee Milhorn Crowell. The groom is the son of the late Arnold S. Bolan and Charlotte Ann Hall Bolan.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Josh Mayo of Falkville.
She chose a gown featuring a sensational sweetheart neckline, leg of mutton sleeves, beaded bodice and a cathedral train with rosette accents. Her veil featured a bridal bandeau of rhinestones and baby pearls. She carried a bouquet of miniature red and white roses.
Music was provided by Tara Crowell of Scottsboro.
Cindy Mayo Hemming of Falkville, daughter of the bride, was the matron of honor.
Bridal attendants were Kathy Pitt of Hartselle and Linda Dobbs and Amanda Dobbs, both of Falkville.
They wore floor length Valentine red sateen dresses with spaghetti straps and an empire waistline. Each carried a long stemmed white rose wrapped in red tulle and red and white ribbon.
Tylar Jade Pitt, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Randy Crowell of Hartselle, brother of the bride, was the best man.
Ushers were Chris Crowell of Scottsboro, Aaron Pitt of Hartselle and William Mitchell of Falkville, all nephews.
Hayley Sheree Hemming of Falkville, granddaughter of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
Deborah Netherton of Falkville, Tara Crowell of Scottsboro, and Becky Mitchell and Delta Lindley, both of Hartselle, were assisted with the reception.
The couple honeymooned in Vicksburg, Miss., and Louisiana. They will reside in the Falkville area.
Kuykendall, Tanksley to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kuykendall of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Joy Kuykendall, to Jarod Lane Tanksley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Tanksley of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Athens Bible School and a 2000 graduate of Athens State University. She is employed with MTS, Incorporated in Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendrix of Huntsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elam Kuykendall of Athens.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2001 graduate of The University of Alabama. He is employed with Tanksley Machine and Tool, Inc. in Decatur. He is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Lake of Hartselle and the late Mr. Harold Lake, Mrs. Hazel Tanksley of Decatur and the late Mr. Harlen Tanksley.
The wedding will be held May 15 at the Huntsville Museum of Art.
