Local students on UNA list
Several local students were among those honored recently at the University of North Alabama.
Named to the dean's list were:
Daisy Marie Gingrich of Falkville and Wendi Jean Hogan of Hartselle.
To be considered for the dean's list, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5.
Owens graduates cum laude from Auburn University
David Owens, son of Pam Owens and Mitchell Owens of Massey, recently graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in political science. He was a member of Phi Sigma Alpha, Political Honor Society, Phi Lambda Sigma, Pre-Law Honor Society, and acted as the AU Democrats director of debates. He is the grandson of John and Lorene Bryant of Massey, Peggy Owens of Haleyville and the late Mitchell F. Owens Sr.
He attended Danville High School.
