A graveside service for Mary Lee Mitchell, 83, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Walker officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Mitchell died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Morgan County to John Byrd Powell and Mary Etta Hill Powell.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Mitchell and John Mitchell, both of Decatur; two daughters, Sharon Thomson of Spartanburg, S.C. and Marilyn Hinkle of Hartselle; a brother, Virgil Powell of Birmingham; two sisters, Betty Vest and Cleo Frazier, both of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frank Hinkle, Travis Cooper, Logan Hinkle, Bobby Hinds and Mike Hinkle.
