Meaghan Gray & Joseph Hill

How You Met: We met in the most modern of ways …  both swiped right! We decided to meet up for our first date at a restaurant in Decatur and the butterflies were instant!

The Proposal: Joe planned on proposing to me on Thanksgiving Day with my close family there. However, he and my father were cooking the turkey and the smoker stopped working.  They ended up taking about 30 minutes longer than planned to finish cooking, so by the time it was done almost all our friends and family were at the house. He ended up proposing to me in front of most of my family and friends.

The Wedding Dress: My dress was perfect! It was simple and classic and fit my personality to a “T”.  I knew it was the one the second I saw it.  That thought was solidified when my mom and I both teared up when she saw it on.

Favorite Wedding Details: Some of my favorite details from the wedding were the decorations at the wedding. My mom and sister pretty much came up with the ideas for decorations and everything was so beautiful and unique. From the antique mirrors to the mismatched plates to the photos of all of our loved ones as you walked in, it was unforgettable.
