Priceville, Danville step up in new classification

The Alabama High School Athletic Association announced the fall sports classifications and realignments for the 2024-26 seasons.

Two area schools, Priceville and Danville, will take a step up in classification. Priceville moves from 4A to 5A, while Danville movers from 3A to 4A.

Hartselle, Brewer and Falkville will remain in their respective classifications. Brewer and Falkville will change regions, while Hartselle will stay in its current region.

Below is a look at the upcoming football regions and volleyball areas.

Football

6A – Region 7: Hartselle, Decatur, Cullman, Columbia, Athens, Muscle Shoals and Jasper

5A – Region 7: Priceville, Ardmore, East Limestone, Fairview, Lawrence County, Russellville and West Point

5A – Region 8: Brewer, Arab, Boaz, Douglas, Guntersville, Sardis, Scottsboro

4A – Region 7: Danville, Brooks, Central-Florence, Deshler, East Lawrence, Hatton, West Limestone, West Morgan, Wilson

2A – Region 6: Falkville, Cleveland, Cold Springs, Coosa Christian, Southeastern, Susan Moore, West End

Volleyball

6A – Area 15: Hartselle, Athens, Decatur, Muscle Shoals

5A – Area 16: Brewer, Priceville, Ardmore, East Limestone, Westminster Christian

4A – Area 13: Danville, East Lawrence, Good Hope, West Morgan

2A – Area 11: Falkville, Cold Springs, Winston County
