8U all-stars compete in state championship

The Hartselle 8U baseball All-Stars participated in the USSSA 8U silver division state championship in Oxford and Pell City this past weekend.
The Tigers opened the tournament by outsourcing their opponents 30-4 in pool play. They defeated Jemison Carroll 12-0 before defeating McCalla 18-4.
Hartselle defeated the Southside Hammers 18-10 in the first round of bracket play. Their run ended with a 16-11 loss to Clanton in the second round of bracket play.
