Hartselle, Priceville golfers qualify for state championships

Hartselle and Priceville golf will be represented at the 2023 AHSAA state championships. Jinger Heath and Tristan Wisener will represent Hartselle High School, while Cole Lindeman will represent Priceville.

Heath, a Jacksonville State signee, shot a 4-under 68 to win the 6A girls’ sub-state at Canebrake in Athens. She finished two shots ahead of Adalyn Pike of Athens. The Lady Tigers team finished third and missed out on another trip to the state championships.

Wisener, an Alabama signee, also shot a 4-under 68 and finished tied with Mountain Brook’s Thomas Norris atop the boys’ leaderboard.

Lindeman shot an even round 72 at Silver Lakes in Glencoe to qualify for the state championships. He helped lead the Bulldogs to a third-place finish behind Haleyville and White Plains.
