Danville High School prom scheduled for March 10

Danville High School will hold its 2023 Prom March 10 in Cullman. Senior lead outs will begin at 8:30 and seniors must arrive at 8 to line up. The juniors may arrive at 9. The prom tickets will be $50.

Happy National School Counseling Week

Danville High School Counselor Mrs. Weatherby was honored at the school during National School Counseling Week. The school staff thanks Mrs. Weatherby for all that she does for the students and the school.          Congratulations goes out this week to the Danville High School January Students and teacher of the month. They are announced as follows, 9th grade, Jace Green, 10th grade, Connor Smith, 11th grade, Ava Mause, 12th grade, Hilda Veracruz and also the teacher of the month, Josh Scott.

Morgan County 4-H News

The sign-ups for the 4-H Summer Camp are now open. The summer camp will be held May 31-June 2. The location will be at the 4-H Center in Columbiana. The cost will be $150 for children 9-14 years old. A $50 deposit will be due March 1 and the remaining $100 dollars will be due April 1. All payments must be made by check or moneyorder and no cash will be accepted. Shady Grove Baptist Church activities

The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church are currently helping with several ongoing ministries, including Hands Across Decatur pantry. Some of the items being collected for this ministry are potted meat, spam, vienna sausages, bean franks, protein bars, energy bars, chicken or tuna snack packs and also single serve water flavoring and gatorade.

They are also collecting the following items , diapers, wipes, baby formula, clothes and many other items for the Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Decatur.
