Lady Bulldogs race to two wins at the Encore Classic

HARTSELLE – The Priceville Lady Bulldogs raced to two wins in the Encore Classic at Hartselle High School last week. They defeated 6A Columbia 81-35 on day two and Vinemont 79-48 on the final day.

Priceville 81, Columbia 35: Leslie Hames hit six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 21 points to lead Priceville. Zoey Benson added 12 points and 14 rebounds. Lauren Hames scored 13 points and Abby Langlois scored 10.

Sierra Jackson led Columbia with 17 points.

Priceville 79, Vinemont 48: Lauren Hames led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points and seven rebounds, while her sister Leslie Hames added 17 points. Abby Langlois finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.

Caroline Miller led Vinemont with 15 points and Whitney Quick had 12.

Falkville 46, Brewer 40: Ellie Cate Hill finished with a game-high 22 points and six rebounds to lead Falkville (4-1) at the Encore Classic. Liza Wallace scored 13 points.

Madisyn Freeman led Brewer with 15 points, while Lilly Yancey added 10 points. Bailey Hale finished eight points and career-high 19 rebounds.

Falkville 41, Cullman Christian 9: Ellie Cate Hill finished with 22 points and six rebounds as Falkville raced past Cullman Christian.

Piper Coots and Rylee Stubbs had three points each for Cullman Christian.

Hamilton girls 48, Brewer 31: Freshman Madisyn Freeman finished with 10 points in Brewer’s loss to Hamilton.

Aubrey Sorrells finished with a game-high 17 points to lead Hamilton.
