Funeral for Lois M. Roberts, 95, of Hartselle was Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Clark officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Roberts died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Parkway Medical Center.
She was a retired school teacher who taught in River Rogue, Mich. She was a very active member of Salem United Methodist Church in Hartselle where she taught Sunday School, was active in the United Methodist Women, and typed the church bulletin for 13 years. She was a member of the AARP, Hartselle Homemakers, Hartselle Senior Circle, and O.A.K.S. (One of A Kind Senior).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Roberts.
She is survived by one great nephew, Thomas N. Bush of Hartselle; three nephews, Gordon Freeman, Keith Putnam and Kenneth Putnam, all of Michigan; and four nieces, Yvonne Freeman, Fay Bush and Mary Musil, all of Michigan, and Donna Gibson of Washington.
Pallbearers were Greg Hargett, Tommy Bush, Tracy Hill, Frank Campbell, Mark Shaneyfelt and Bob Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
