Hartselle National 9-and-10 year olds still alive in All-Star play

ATHENS – The Hartselle National 9-and-10 year old All-Stars won the Area Tournament and competed for the Sub-District Championship earlier this week.
In the Area Tourney, Hartselle beat Monrovia American Central 7-6, Morgan County twice, 15-2 and 16-2, and beat Decatur American Blue 3-0 for the championship.
Against Monrovia, Hartselle trailed 6-1 before rallying for the win.
Corey Holladay delivered a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the sixth to win the game. Holladay also pitched in the contest, but Will Lang earned the win in relief.
Seth Wiley, Ethan Rose and Zack Alred each had two hits, while Jackson Reeves, Chance Partlow and Austin Dupper each had one hit.
Rose got the win in both games against Morgan County. Dupper, Jake Hartsell and Hunter McCaghren also pitched.
In the championship against Decatur, Rose got another win. Lang pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth to seal the win.
