Danville names homecoming court, queen

Congratulations to the 2021 Danville School Homecoming Queen, Shelby Barber. Other homecoming court members are Abby Williams, Desirae Yost, Abbie Bolton, Layla Sherrill, Sallie Terry, Brittney Nauman, Abby McDonald, Aleah Greenhaw, Lilly Prater, Lillie Kate Eddy, McKenna Jackson, Mylee Garner and Adily Alberti. Go Hawks! 

Town of Falkville Activities 

Sen. Arthur Orr attended the Falkville Town Council meeting Sept. 7 in the courtroom meeting room. Sen. Orr presented the council with a donation for the Falkville Public Library. 

Sept. 14 the Falkville Public Library Board met in the office conference room at 4:30 p.m. Those attending were President Rhona Summerford, Secretary Anna Howell Henderson, Treasurer Pam MacDonald, Jane Hill and Librarian Jenny Asherbranner. 

Local Area Community News 

In late September Jim and Karen Bryant Walker of Desoto, Kansas, enjoyed spending time in Branson, Mo., with family and friends. Oct. 3-7 they will be visiting in Morgan and Cullman counties with relatives and friends.   

Sept. 19-20, John Steven Bryant of Blair Community and Mitchell B. Owens of Addison enjoyed a joint 70th and 50th celebration for their special birthdays. The celebration was hosted by Greg and Pam Bryant Holmes, and everyone enjoyed a good meal and lots of fun.
