Falkville welcomes new business       

The Town of Falkville welcomes a new business to the community, Lulu’s Loft & Chill, which is now open.

The owners of the new business are Aimee and Keith Sheppard. It is located at 4685 Highway 31 S., in Falkville. Lulu’s offers ice cream, shaved ice and freshly-squeezed lemonade.

Aimee and Keith really appreciate the warm welcome and everyone who came out to support their business at the ribbon cutting.

Falkville Town Hall holds safety meeting

The Town of Falkville held a safety meeting May 21. Chrystalynn Beard presented a program on active shooters in the courtroom/council chambers at the Falkville Town Hall.

Dawn Estes was honored by the town employees for her 20 years of service with a surprise party.

Fairview–The Grace Place Activities

Danielle Hayes is coordinating the sign-up for middle summer camp at Chula Vista. The camp will be June 14-17.

The camp for grades third through sixth will be June 21-25.

Camp Chula Vista is in St. Clair County near Pell City.

Summerford Nursing Home News

The residents and staff at Summerford Nursing Home enjoyed bingo at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. May 21. The bingo prizes were stuffed animals. Jackie Metcalf was in charge of the weekend activities.

A group of residents meets each Sunday morning in the former rehab party room with a piano and a huge television.

Falkville United Methodist Church News

A Senior Tea was held at Falkville United Methodist Church May 23 from 2-4 p.m. Susan Smith, Lucy Jean McCaig and Debbie Higginbotham enjoyed assisting with the tea.
