Three earn first-team All-State

Hartselle and Priceville basketball had tremendous seasons this past year, and the accolades are starting to roll in for their star players.

Brody Peebles was named 6A Boys All-State First Team following his senior season.

He finished the season averaging 33.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.9 assists per game. He scored more than 3,000 points for his career and will leave Hartselle as the school’s all-time leading scorer. He will continue his career at Liberty University.

Masyn Marchbanks was named 6A Girls All-State First Team following her junior season. She averaged 18.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.9 steals and 2.7 assists per game, leading the Lady Tigers to the Northwest Regional finals and finishing with a 25-3 record.

Priceville’s Jenna Walker was named 4A Girls All-State First Team. She averaged 13.3 points, 6.4 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.4 rebounds per game in leading her team to a 25-9 record. She will continue her career at Western Kentucky University.

Hartselle’s Lillyanna Cartee was named 6A Girls honorable mention, and Danville’s KJ Melson was named 3A Boys honorable mention.
