Hartselle, Falkville players sign college scholarships

Hartselle senior catcher Jada Henderson signed with the UAH Chargers softball program Friday afternoon.

Henderson finished the shortened 2020 season with a .613 batting average, four home runs, 24 RBI and a perfect fielding percentage.

She is the third Hartselle player to sign a college scholarship this year, as Lillyanna Cartee and Jenna Smith inked their scholarship papers in November.

Falkville’s Sydnee Fitzgerald also made her college decision final recently, signing with the University of Mobile’s softball program.

Fitzgerald played 16 games as a sophomore and struck out 137 batters in 111 innings for the Blue Devils. Her junior season was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mobile is an NAIA school, playing in the Southern States Athletic Conference.
