Hartselle volleyball sweeps Bob Jones and Athens

The Hartselle volleyball team hosted 7A No. 8 Bob Jones and 6A No. 9 Athens in a tri-match on Tuesday evening.

The Tigers opened the matches with a 25-23, 25-20 win over the Patriots. In the final match of the evening, Hartselle defeated the Golden Eagles 25-22, 25-16.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Grace Tapscott who finished with 47 assists, nine digs, and three kills. Lillyanna Cartee had 32 digs and 15 kills while Hailey Holshouser added 17 digs and 12 kills. Lydia Simmons had 13 kills, Tori Hughes added 18 digs, and Emory Carnes finished with 16 digs.

Hartselle (26-8, 2-0) has won 14 out of their last 15 matches.

The Tigers will host 7A No. 5 Sparkman to town on Thursday afternoon.
