Hartselle softball enters break riding 11-game win streak

The Hartselle Lady Tigers are riding an 11-game winning streak as they enter the state-imposed break because of the coronavirus.

They won six games this past week to extend the winning streak. This included wins over Austin, Decatur, Cullman, and Bob Jones.

The Lady Tigers enter the break as the No. 5 ranked team in 6A.

The highlight of the week came in their game against Bob Jones. The Lady Patriots took the time to recognize Hartselle’s seven seniors during their Senior Day recognition. With all of the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus and the suspension of the season, this was a bright spot in a confusing week for these seven seniors.

In regards to the break, Coach Christy Ferguson said they are going to take the time off to get healthy but still focus on returning to finish out the season.
