Lady Tigers finish as runner-ups in 6A Area 14

CULLMAN – Hartselle fell 46-37 to Cullman in the 6A Area 14 area tournament championship Thursday night. 

The Lady Tigers led 8-7 following the first quarter and 24-19 at halftime. 

Cullman held Hartselle to seven points in the third, taking a 35-31 lead into the fourth quarter. The Lady Bearcats outscored the Lady Tigers 11-6 to close out the game. 

Hartselle was led by Lillyanna Cartee, who finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Maggie McCleskey scored seven, and Kaitlyn Hogan and Alyssa McMinemon each had six. 

Cullman was led by Jaden Winfrey, who scored 22 points, and Anna Katherine Eastman, who had 11.
