Tiger Paws take top honors in dance competitions

The Hartselle Tiger Paws dance team competed recently in two competitionsUDA Magic City Dance Championship and DTU Regional Birmingham.  

The dance team competed in three categories at each competition: pom, high-kick and jazz.  

The team received first place in kick and pom at UDA State and second place in jazz.  The team also received first place in kick and pom at DTU Regional and second place in jazz.  
Kayleen Coggin, eighthgrader, received first place for youth solo as well. 

Next stop for the Tiger Paws is DTU Nationals in Orlando, Fla., on February 21st – 23rd.   

Team members are captain Becca Faulk, co-captain Ansley McCay, Catherine Cline, Grace Sittason, Julya McMinemon, Gabi McGuire, Payton Preuitt, Maggie Guyse, Olivia Counts, Emma Buckley and Kayleen Coggin.
