Mt. Zion Baptist Church to host Singspiration

The members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church will host their Singspiration Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. This special activity will serve 10 area churches. The music director is Jerome Ward, and he will conduct the program. Snacks will be served following the program in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited to attend for fellowship and good gospel music.

Lebanon Baptist Church Activities

Jan. 5 Lebanon Baptist Church closed the piano with a quiet memorial “bow and streamers” for the late Harolyn Morris Crowe, who was their church pianist for 59 years. Harolyn grew up in the Massey and Lebanon communities and spent her life dedicated to her family and her church family.

Corinth West Baptist Church Events

Donna Smithson presided at the Corinth West Baptist women’s group meeting Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. The women enjoyed breakfast served by Patricia Echols and Patti Condo. During the meeting, plans were made for the Senior Citizens Day activities, which were held Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. The Senior Citizens Day lunch was for “good Luck, good health and prosperity.” Everyone enjoyed four games of bingo and a wonderful lunch and fellowship.

Shady Grove Baptist Church Ministries

The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church held a blood drive Dec. 15 in honor of Misty Manor Winchester in her battle against breast cancer. A total of 33 people came to give blood, and 27 were eligible, with the possibility of saving 81 lives. Shady Grove Church expresses appreciation to allof the donors. Shady Grove Baptist Church’s food pantry is in need of the following foods: tuna, peanut butter, cereals, crackers, canned vegetables, dried beans and rice. For more information about the food programs contact Rod Gillott at 256-612-3077. The Shady Grove Church ministry is also in need of walkers, crutches and wheelchairs.
