Falkville clerk, library, UMC stay busy

Falkville town clerk attends training class

Dawn Estes, Falkville town clerk, attended an Alabama Municipalities Election Clerk Training School, Dec. 4-6. The classes were held at Gulf State Lodge in Gulf Shores. 

Falkville Public Library Activities

The Falkville Public Library Board Christmas meal was held Dec. 10 at the Cracker Barrel. Members are Rhona Summerford, Tina Rogers, Jane Hill, Kay Farrer, Pam MacDonald, library director Jenny Asherbranner, library aide Marie Sivley and council liaison Charlie Gover.

Falkville First United Methodist Church Events

The Hanging of the Greens service was conducted at Falkville First United Methodist Church by pastor Slade Hogan Nov. 26.

Dan and Debbie Higginbotham brought the Chrismon trees in to each side of the alter, pulpit and choir section. The Tuesday night members decorated the trees with the traditional symbolic white and gold ornaments. They also decorated with greenery.
