Brody Peebles commits to Liberty

Hartselle’s Brody Peebles announced his commitment to Liberty University and Coach Ritchie McKay the night of Dec. 10. He chose Liberty over offers from Belmont, Lipscomb, Wofford and Samford, to name a few.

The main reason was the way I could grow spiritually,” said Peebles. I can develop as a player and a person.”

Peebles, a 6-foot-1 junior, is averaging 27.3 points per game this season for Coach Faron Key’s Tigers.

Brody is the literal coach’s dream – very coachable, loves to be coached, loves to share his ideas and is our hardestworking player,” said KeyWhen your best player is your hardest worker, you’ve got a chance to do something special.

Key called Peebles a special young man. “He loves God and loves his family; he is a great student and a fantastic ambassador for our school,” Key said.

Peebles said he wants to go to Liberty and make an impact on the basketball program as well as the university.”
