Local woman opens Amethyst Sage in Hartselle

A local woman will be opening a new store in Hartselle that will bring essential oils, silver jewelry, crystals, incense and more to the area. The store is located at 1809 HWY 31 South in Hartselle and will be opening July 9.

Deanne Fox is the owner of Amethyst Sage and said she has owned businesses before but wanted to bring something unique to the Hartselle area. “I have had several businesses before and I was ready for another adventure. There is nothing like this shop unless you go to Huntsville or Birmingham so I wanted to bring it local,” Fox said.

The store will also carry candles, silver jewelry, rose water, Himalayan salt lamps and have meditation rooms available. Morgan Riley works at Amethyst Sage as the “healing hippie”. Riley says she specializes in chakra alignments, reiki healings, healing hands, therapeutic touch, craniosacral therapy and meditation classes.

“It helps lower blood pressure helps with anxiety and stress, gives you peace of mind. I will get you fully relaxed,” Riley said.

Tiffany and Jeremy Kelsey also work at Amethyst Stone and will be providing house or business cleansings. Tiffany also reads tarot cards and does oracle readings. Tiffany says she hopes to be able to help people through the new business. “I know that a lot of people have questions and the answers are just kind of hard to find. I know some people can’t easily focus their mind on what they want sometimes, and I think readings point them in the direction that they need,” Tiffany said.

Jeremy will also be using the business as a central base. He said he is excited to have the new location for something he has been doing most of his life. “I got into it at an early age because I had experiences as a kid and I always had questions of knowing something isn’t right and I want to know why it isn’t right. This has always been a passion of mine and I never had a place other than out of my house that they could come and sit in a good environment and talk about that,” Jeremy said.

The store will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10-7 and Fox says they plan to have a large grand opening later in the year.

Riley says she hopes the store will provide new options to the area. “I know a lot of people are having trouble and are looking into more holistic and natural healing. I wanted that to be readily available for people so they can experience it and see if it is the right path for them,” Riley said.
