Robinson, Eubanks to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Robinson of Vernon announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Robinson of Madison, to Brandon Kelly Eubanks of Massey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Eubanks of Massey.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Lamar County High School and a 2003 graduate of The University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in elementary education. She is the granddaughter of Thomas Glover Freeman and the late Gladis Freeman of Caledonia, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robinson.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School and is currently pursuing a degree in accounting at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Eubanks of Massey and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pressley of Falkville.
The wedding will be held June 21 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Vernon.
Sims, Garton to wed July 26
Darrell and Sue Sims of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Suzanne Sims, to Phillip Landon Garton, son of Dewey and Nina Garton of Knoxville, Tenn.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and is entering her senior year at Harding University majoring in interactive media with a minor in graphic design. She is the granddaughter of Lawrence and Patsy Wilson of Tallassee and Dewey and Merle Sims of Cullman.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Karns High School and a 2003 graduate of Harding University with degrees in information technology and youth and family ministry. He is the grandson of Loraine Berry and the late L.C. Berry of Michie, Tenn., and Marian Garton and the late Dewey Garton of Nitro, W. Va.
The wedding will be held July 26 at Mountain Valley Wedding Chapel in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Weddings
Smith, Carden wed May 25
Ashley Lauren Smith of Madison and Michael Brandon Smith of Decatur were married May 25 at 4:30 p.m. at Madison United Methodist Church.
Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Smith of Madison. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Carden of Decatur.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Christine Rogers was maid of honor. Samantha Adams was flower girl. Jeffrey Emens was the best man. Wesley Lewis and Chad Fagen were groomsmen.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Marriott. A rehearsal party was given by the groom's parents at the Madison Street Caf.
After a brief wedding trip, the couple will live in Madison.
