A graveside service for Gladys Hitt Brown, 57, of Danville was Tues., Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at McKendree Cemetery with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Brown died Sun., Oct. 18, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born July 13, 1958, in Lawrence County to Eddie Boice Hitt and Ollie Mae Anderson Hitt. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Deborah Myers.

She is survived by her husband, Sherman Brown of Danville; two sons, Gary Brown (Keisha) and Barry Brown (Jennifer), both of Danville; her mother, Ollie Mae Anderson Hitt of Danville; a brother, Robert Hitt (Kathy) of Hartselle; a sister, Tammy Hitt of Danville; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Barry Brown, Gary Brown, Robert Hitt and Patrick Hitt.
