The boys in Blue maintained their perfect season on Friday night, following a 55-0 victory over Southeastern on the road.

Head coach Joel Schrenk said Falkville’s starters only held the field for the first half, and his freshman players played the second half.

“We started fast and that was exactly what we needed,” Schrenk said. “Our guys scored 34 points in the first quarter and led at the half 55-0, so we kept our younger kids in the half to give our older guys some rest.”

Schrenk said Southeastern started with a three and out, leaving FHS with good field position.

“Minutes after we got the ball, Ryan Sullivan found Logan Vinson on a big touchdown pass, and the next possession, Andy Dove picked their pass off for a touchdown,” Schrenk said. Ryan only played the first quarter and then we took him out.”

Sullivan finished with 143 passing yards. Running back Caleb Vinson managed 125 rushing yards on the night and Andy Dove had 75 receiving yards.

Falkville now moves to 8-0 on the season and 5-0 in region play. They are currently ranked 10th in the state in their classification.

FHS will host Tanner  Friday for their last region game of the season
