A graveside service for Hester Nix, 85, of Hartselle will be Fri., Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with the Rev. Carl Maynard officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Fri., Aug. 21, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nix died Tues., Aug. 18, 2015, at her daughter’s residence. She was born June 18, 1930, in Morgan County to Hezzie Jackson and Jossie Hill Jackson Jordan. She was a production worker for Roth Rubber in Chicago, Ill. until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Nix; son, Wayne Rasberry; and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, James Paul Sparkman (Kim) and Jim Linley, all of Hartselle; two daughters, Shirley Adams of Decatur and Marcella Mason of Decatur; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
