A new pastor has arrived at Blue Springs Baptist Church of Somerville.

Rev. Richard L. Richie transferred to the church after serving as the pastor of Flint Baptist Church of Decatur. Richie also served as pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Roanoke, Vir. Richie is a member of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He is a graduate from Auburn University with a bachelor degree in operations management and Southern Seminary with a master of divinity.

Richie and his wife have three children and live in Hartselle.
