Fairview sets Midnight 5k for June 9

Fairview: The Grace Place will host the third annual Light Up the Night Midnight 5k to benefit the Carpenter’s Cabinet Fri., May 15, at 11:59 p.m. at South Park in Falkville.

Awards will be given to the top female and male runners overall and over the age of 40. Divisional awards for each age group will also be given. In addition, there will be an award for the best glow in the dark costume.

Registration fees are $25 before May 9 or $30 May 10-15. High performance T-shirts will be given to those who register before May 9 and may be purchased by those who register by May 10 or later. Runners may register online or pick up a registration form at Fairview: The Grace Place.

All proceeds will benefit the Carpenter’s Cabinet, which was founded in 2010 to provide food to those in need in the Falkville area. Last year the organization severed approximately 1,800 individuals, most of whom were first-time clients. The center also hosts multiple classes and meetings each week.
