HHS XC sweeps Morgan County Championship

The Hartselle High School boys and girls cross country teams both placed first in the Morgan County Championship Thursday at Indian Mounds Park in Oakville.

Junior Abigail Davis finished first in the girls’ 5k race with a time of 19:35. Hartselle’s top 15 finishers included sophomore Billie Shelton, 21:09; junior Reagan Bowling, 22:20; seventh grader Madison Clemons, 23:40 and eighth grader Macie Holder, 23: 56.

In the boys’ 5k race, senior Johnathan Duncan took first with a time of 16:59. Hartselle’s top 15 finishers included senior Chase Barrett, 18:17; freshman Charlie Ord, 18:18; junior Timothy Ammons, 18:57; freshman Addison Zanda, 19:02 and eighth grader Eric Rabadan, 19:02.
