Hartselle man charged with domestic violence
A Hartselle man was charged with domestic violence Wed., Oct. 1., and placed in the Morgan County Jail, according to reports from Sheriff Ana Franklin.
Kenneth Dwight Callahan, 48, was accused of brutally attacking his wife Nancy Oliver Callahan on the night of Sept. 8. Callahan is said to have attacked, shoved and choked his wife at their home at 703 Rock Spring Road, Hartselle.
Ms. Callahan was treated for injuries, including contusions and a near loss of consciousness at the Decatur Morgan Hospital Emergency Department.
Mr. Callahan was arrested and charged with domestic violence by strangulation or suffocation, which is a Class B felony. Bond was set at $5,000.
