Hartselle track team logs wins in Huntsville

Hartselle High School’s track and field team performed at a high level at the sixth annual Huntsville Panther Invitational on March 15, finishing fourth and sixth in the boys and girls divisions, respectively.

Mason McGee paced the boys team with a first place win in the 110m hurdles a second place finish in the 300m hurdles and 10th place in the long jump. His time in the 110m event was 15.59 while he ran the 300m in 42.35.

The 4×100 relay team logged a second place finish, the 4×800 team came in fourth and the 4×400 team finished fifth.

Megan Zuck was the pacesetter in the girl’s division. She finished third in the triple jump and eighth in the long jump.

Other top finishers in the boy’s division were: Aaron Davis, third, overall athlete, fourth, 3200m run and 11th, 1600m run; Landon Tall, fourth javelin throw; John Paulsen, fifth, 800m run; Zane Green, fifth, 110m hurdles; Brett Hale, sixth, high jump; Kris Doss, seventh, discus; Band Bradley Lovillo, eighth, discus.

Top finishers in the girls division were: Billie Shelton, foruth, 300m hurdles; Abigail Davis, 1600m run.
