Funeral for Zelma L. Curnel, 82, of Paris, Tenn., was Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Salem, Kentucky, with the Rev. Roger Banks officiating.
Burial was in Lola Cemetery.
Mr. Curnel died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at the Henry County, Tenn., Medical Center in Paris. A native of Kentucky, he was a member of American Legion Post 217 in Burna, VFW and Amvets Posts 217. He was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ in Paris. He was the father of the late Danny Curnel and Julie Curnel. He was formerly married to Margaret Black Curnel.
He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Curnel; four sons, Alton L. Curnel of Scottsboro, Stan Curnel of Hartselle, Roger Curnel of Plano, Tex., and Melvin Curnel of Decatur; one daughter, Patti Curnel of Wylie, Tex.; one brother, Lawrence Curnel of Ft. Smith, Ark., one half brother, Guthrie Brooks of Lola, Ky.; and one sister, Mildred Lockhart of Paducah, Ky.
