FHS QB Club sets first Slam

The Quarterback Club for Falkville High School will have its inaugural Summer Slam 2013 fundraiser on Saturday at the South Park Sports Complex.

The day-long event begins at 10 a.m. with fun, food and activities, including a one-pitch softball tourney, golf chip shot, three-on-three basketball tourney, corn hole tourney, barbecue cook-off, kids’ inflatables and concessions.

A classic car show will be from 5 to 9 p.m. and live music will be by Michael Dean and by Double Shot. DJ Scott Reed will host the music. Entry fee is $5 for a wrist band with free parking. Kids six and under enter for free.

Then at 3 p.m., the Falkville 25 and over football team will take on the Cullman Punishers for an alumni football game.

A large Bon Fire will conclude the event after dark. Proceeds will benefit the varsity football program.
