John Holland Whitworth

Funeral for John Holland Whitworth, 77, of Moulton was Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roger Aldridge and Rickey McAbee officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Danville with military honors.
Mr. Whitworth died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at his residence. A native of Lincoln County, Tenn., he served in the service during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Holiness Church of Christ. He was the widower of Hilda Marie Whitworth.
He is survived by five sons, John Louis Whitworth of Bankhead Forest, Holland Wayne Whitworth, Farren Maxwell Whitworth and Jack S. Whitworth, all of Five Points, and Danny Whitworth of Danville; three daughters, Janice Marie Glover of Speake, Sherry Kay Campbell of Mount Hope and Rose Mary Greay of Hartselle; one brother, T. A. Whitworth of Michigan; three sisters, Florence Cochran and Corrine Cox, both of Tennessee, and Mable Whitworth of Florida; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were military and grandsons.
