Thanks for your support

For those of you who do not know our family, let me catch you up on all the happenings in the Blaylock household.

About five weeks ago, John, my husband, was in a severe car wreck. He has a fractured C2 vertebrae, both his tibia and fibula had compound fractures.

His patella (knee cap) was broken and the ligaments in his knee were severed. He had two major surgeries within 24 hours of the accident.

The first one was for his neck and to place him in the halo, which he will have to wear for at least three months.

The second surgery was to fix his leg and knee, which he has been unable to bend for five weeks. Hopefully, that will change this week.

John spent over a week in the hospital and three weeks in rehab. He is now home and will (eventually) have a full recovery.

Over the next few weeks, I hope to give you some insights into what we have learned through this experience about insurance and disability.

However, for this article I just want to publicly thank everyone who has helped us and continue to help us!

We have a long road to recovery and we could never have made it without our amazing church family at East Highland Baptist Church and our fantastic friends.

Thank you does not even begin to express our feelings!!
