Windolyn Stevens

A memorial service for Windolyn Stevens, 88, of Decatur will be Thur., Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. at Priceville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Malcolm Larkin officiating. The service is being handled by her family.

Mrs. Stevens died on Fri., Jan. 25, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 8, 1924, in Pennsylvania to Winfield Lincoln and Emma Younkin

Lincoln. Mrs. Stevens was a member of the D.A.R. and was a founding member of the Tennessee Valley Arabian Horse Association. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, a member of Priceville United Methodist Church and was an Educator who retired from the Decatur City School

System and was head librarian for Butler High School from 1967-1976. She was also a cat lover.

She is survived by her husband, Al Stevens of Decatur; a son, Scott Lincoln Stevens of Austin, Texas; and a sister, Beverly Miller, of Pennsylvania.
