Falkville picks up victories

FALKVILLE – Sarah Smith, Sarah Goodman, Samantha Davis and Callie Shedd had two singles each as Falkville knocked off Addison 8-5 in an area game last week.

Falkville improved to 15-12-1 on the season after going 2-1 during the week.

Jessie Thompson earned the win for Falkville. She also had a double for the Lady Blue Devils.

Tiana Drinkard added a single for Falkville.

Falkville 3, Brewer 2

Katelynn Smith threw a four-hitter as Falkville edged Brewer 3-2.

Paige Mayer had a single and a double with an RBI to lead the Lady Blue Devils. Sarah Goodman had a double with an RBI.

Samantha Davis singled and scored two runs, while Tiana Drinkard finished with a single.

Cold Springs 12, Falkville 4

Falkville managed just three hits in a 12-4 loss to Cold Springs at home.

The Lady Blue Devils got singles from Kaitlynn Smith, Sarah Smith and Heather Owens.

Priceville 5, Colbert County 1

Danielle Richard, Chasity Martin and Ashlee Beggs had two hits each for Priceville.

Meaghan Bond picked up the win.

Priceville 11, Sheffield 2

Danielle Richard homered twice and Amber Johnson finished with three hits in a win over Sheffield.

Meaghan Bond added a double.
