A graveside service for Gary Speakman, 55, of Biloxi, Miss., was Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. at Cullman City Cemetery with Moss-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Speakman died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 in Gulfport, Miss. A native of Cullman, he served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He formally worked as a machinist at Trinity Marine. He was also affiliated with three different bowling leagues. He was a long time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was the son of the late Willie Mason Speakman.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Speakman of Biloxi; two sons, Jeff Speakman of Folsom, Calif. and Thomas Iverson of Fort Polk, La.; three daughters, Lisa Speakman of Tustin, Calif., Tonya Wilson of Cullman, and Katrina Everett of Hohenwald, Tenn.; his mother, Nell Burke of Cullman; a brother, Hugh Speakman of Alabama; and four granddaughters.
