Funeral for Tim Sharp, 92, of Somerville was Sat., Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Owens and Dr. Bob Sharp officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Sharp died Thurs., Nov. 22, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Morgan County to Otis T. Sharp and Lillie Bell Johnston Sharp.

He was a dedicated Christian at Shiloh Baptist Church and served in the deacon ministry for many years. He retired from Wolverine Tube after 31 years of service.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was well known throughout Morgan County as a caring friend. In his 30 years of retirement, he enjoyed his family, fishing and visiting the sick and elderly throughout the community. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Kathleen Sharp; a brother, Huel Sharp; and two sisters, Lib Winton and Monte Ree Breeding.

He is survived by five daughters, Patsy Turner of Macon, GA, Peggy Vaughn and husband Jim and Sheree Lane and husband Phil, all of Hartselle, Suzette Fussell and husband Dennis of Gardendale and Philda Starks of Somerville; a brother, Jonnie McCutch-eon of Somerville; seven grandchildren, Amy Toombs, Marty Randolph, Stanley Bibb, Ashley McDonald, Marcey Howell, Julie Sherman and Ian Starks; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.
