Slaten, Cooper to wed
Scotty and Tammy Slaten of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Lynn Slaten, to John Loyd Cooper, son of Barry and Marilyn Cooper of Somerville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Frances Harris and the late Edgar Harris of Lacey’s Spring, Nancy Morgan of Hartselle, James Owens of Hartselle and the late Betty Owens and the late Donald Slaten of Hartselle. She is a 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School and is a graduate of Calhoun Community College.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Dunbar and Beatrice Cooper of Somerville and Loyd and Dollie Shelton of Somerville. A 1998 graduate of Brewer High School, he is a graduate of Calhoun Community College.
The wedding is planned for April 25, 2009 at Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
