Roads will be closed Saturday morning for the Great Escape Triathlon.

Hartselle Police Chief Ron Puckett said Hayes Street, Adams Street, Madison Street and Groover Road will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Nanceford Road from Corsbie Street to U.S. 31 will also be closed during the race.

The race begins at Sparkman Civic Center at 7:30 a.m. The race features a 200-yard swim, 8-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run. Registration is $50 per person and $80 for a two-person relay.

Proceeds will benefit the John Mark Stallings Special Needs Accessible Playground.
