Funeral for Evelyn B. Johnson, 79, of Hartselle will be Fri., Aug. 31, at 3:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Cullman County. Visitation will be Thur., Aug. 30, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson died on Tues., Aug. 28, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Colbert County to Jim Vandiver and Nellie Berryhill Vandiver. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Hartselle Church of Christ, and a member of the Senior Center. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzo Johnson.

She is survived by a son, Lavon “Bama” Johnson of Hartselle; two daughters, Karren Riedberger of Hartselle and Becky Dudley and husband Donnie of Somerville; eight surviving grandchildren, Danielle Johnson, Gavin Sapp, Brad McReath and wife Samantha, Whitney Brewer, Rylee Princess, Drew Hollaway and wife Stephanie, Taylor Landers and Jaycee Collins; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scott Riedberger, Trey Summerford, Drew Holloway, Drew Prater, Kevin Galloway and Lynn Blackwood.
