Funeral for Jessie L. Hill, 85, of Falkville was Saturday, Apr. 19, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. David Bozeman and Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery near Eva.
Mrs. Hill died Thursday, Apr. 17, 2008, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Tennessee to John Alton Griffith and Mary Elizabeth Williams Griffith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Wilburn Hill, a son, Ronald Hill and her parents.
She is survived by four sons, Roy Hill and wife Maaike of Decatur, Tommie Hill and wife Connie and Alton Hill and wife Christy, both of Falkville and Nathan Hill and wife Carol of Hartselle; two daughters, Martha Lawrence and husband Willard of Danville and Patricia Moore and husband John of Cullman; a brother, Charlie Griffith of Hartselle; a sister, Dorothy Partain of Hartselle; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Justin Hill, Wade Lawrence, Ben Lawrence, Jonathan Hill, Michael Bryant and Steve Reid.
The family extends special thanks to Summerford Nursing Home and its staff.
