Somerville News
I haven’t had any news in my column for a couple of weeks. I’ve been on vacation. I took all 6 of my grandchildren, Louis and Jayla Daugette, Julie Daugette, Jeannie, Jacob and Jaden Moore, and my son Jacob and wife, Ashley, to Gulf Shores. We had a wonderful time and the weather was great while we were there. Libby Gatlin, of Libby’s Restaurant and her family were there as well. We enjoyed visiting at the pool with them. The fireworks on the 4th of July on the beach were great. Sympathy to the family and friends of Mildred Johnson, who passed away last week. Happy birthday to my daughter, Jennifer Hayes, and to James Glover, Pastor Jacob Daugette and members of Somerville Assembly would like to send a warm welcome to all who wish to join them in worship. Services are: Sunday School, 10am, worship service 11am and Sunday night worship, 6pm. They are located on Blevins Road, just off Hwy 67 in Somerville, Get well wishes to Bro. Bill Patridge, Myrtle Colley, JD Williams, Wanda Taylor, Donna and Darell Orr, Jean Wallace and Dinky Free. Hello to Mildred Crowder, Neal Freeman and family, JD and Sally Williams, Colleen Moore, Frank and Martha Gravatt, WD Wray and all my Somerville news readers. Jacob and Ashley Daugette, Noel and Brandi Bailey and Hunter, Glenn Bailey and Vickey Daugette enjoyed dinner at Ryan’s in Decatur on Friday night. Happy birthday and much love to Jean Wallace. Love and sympathy to one of my best friends, Gina Rayburn, on the death of her husband, Troy. He was a wonderful person who would help anyone who needed him. I will miss him greatly, as will his family and friends. Call me with your church events, social news or other items you would like to see in my column at 621-0292. Have a blessed week.
