Funeral for James "Big Red" Suggs, 56, of Vinemont was Friday, May 17, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Homer Jones officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery in Somerville.
Mr. Suggs died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Woodland Community Hospital in Cullman.
He is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Suggs of Addison; mother, Birchie Bell Reed of Addison; four brothers, Felton Suggs of Addison, Jerry Suggs of Somerville, Leon Suggs of Jones Chapel and Edward Suggs of Fairview and two sisters, Judy Ashley of Addison and Brenda Champion of Massey.
Pallbearers were Jasper Champion, Jeff Champion, Joe Champion, Greg Bell, David Champion and Robert Suggs.
