The Priceville Bulldogs were looking to turn around a recent losing trend, having lost their previous two region games. A win would give the Bulldogs their fourth first-round home playoff game in the past five years.

The Bulldogs battled with the Raiders for four quarters but unfortunately came up on the losing end in a 28-24 loss.

Randolph took an early lead when they scored on a four-yard run to make the score 7-0.

The Bulldogs answered with a scoring drive capped off by a 39-yard Blitz Clemons touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7 late in the first quarter.

Priceville took the lead early in the second quarter with another Clemons touchdown run, this time from 16 yards out to grab a 14-7 lead.

The Raiders responded to tie the game at 14-14 with a two-yard run.

The Bulldogs had a chance late in the first half to get in the endzone but settled for a 22-yard Landon Byer field goal to take a 17-14 lead into halftime.

Priceville opened the second half with another scoring drive as quarterback Jake England scored on a four-yard run to extend their lead to 24-14.

The Bulldogs couldn’t hold onto the lead as Randolph scored on a 31-yard pass play late in the third and then on a 15-yard run late in the fourth to grab a 28-24 lead.

Priceville had one final chance to retake the lead, driving down to the Randolph 21-yard line. On a fourth down play that looked like the Bulldogs would retake the lead on an England scramble for a touchdown, instead, Priceville was flagged for a penalty, negating the score.

On the next play, Randolph intercepted England’s pass that was intended for Riley Wagg to put an end to the Priceville threat and hold on for the four-point win.

Clemons finished 195 yards rushing and two touchdowns on a career-high 42 carries. England added 82 yards and a score.

The Bulldogs (4-6) will have this week off before hitting the road to open the 4A playoffs. Their opponent is still being determined as of this time, with three teams tied for first in the region.
