Planning commission OKs plans for 53 lots

Engineering plans for 53 lots in two new housing projects on Garner Road Southwest were approved by the Hartselle Planning Commission at its regular monthly meeting Feb. 1.

Plans include 38 single-family residential lots in Foxridge Subdivision, Phase 3, and 15 townhome lots in Magnolia Preserve.

The only question raised during the public hearings was whether the developer would be required to provide curb and gutter where the subdivision meets the right-of-way to a public street. City planner Jeremy Griffith confirmed the requirement as a part of the city’s subdivision regulations.

Both requests were approved subject to the approval of the Hartselle Utilities Board at its next meeting, which was held Feb. 8.

The commission also

approved a site plan for a new Dollar General store at the intersection of Main Street West and Lindsey Lane Southwest

approved a subdivision certificate for Southern LLC on Barkley Bridge Road Southwest.
